CBI wants to question Partha Chatterjee in recruitment scam, seeks custody

Partha Chatterjee is likely to be produced physically before the court tomorrow when the CBI’s plea will be heard, sources told India Today TV.
The Central Bureau of Investigation, or CBI, has requested a Kolkata court for custody of former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee. The federal agency, in its plea, said that it wants to question Chatterjee in connection with the teachers’ recruitment scam.
Partha Chatterjee is likely to be produced physically before the court tomorrow when the CBI’s plea will be heard, sources told India Today TV.
Chatterjee, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate after piles of cash were found at his aide’s home, is currently in judicial custody. His custody was extended by another 14 days on Wednesday.
The CBI is also investigating the case.
