CBI registers FIR in hit-and-run death case of Jharkhand judge

A 49-year-old judge in Jharkhand's Dhanbad was allegedly mowed down by a heavy autorickshaw while he was on a morning walk on July 28.
The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday registered an FIR in the hit-and-run death of a Dhanbad judge, a day after Jharkhand High Court asked the federal probe agency to investigate the case. “CBI has today registered a case related to death of Uttam Anand, ADJ Dhanbad, on the request of Jharkhand government and further notification from Government of India and taken over the investigation. The case was earlier registered by Dhanbad Police,” said CBI spokesperson RC Joshi.More Related News
