CBI registers FIR against Anil Deshmukh, conducts searches at several premises

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed an FIR against former Maharashtra Home Minster Anil Deshmukh and unknown others in connection with allegations of corruption levelled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday registered an FIR against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh for his alleged involvement in corruption on the allegations of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. Anil Deshmukh along with unknown others have been named as accused in the FIR by the CBI. The agency is also conducting searches at several premises, including residence of Anil Deshmukh in Mumbai and other places. Earlier, the agency had carried out a preliminary enquiry on the orders of the Bombay High Court and recorded Anil Deshmukh’s statement on the allegations of corruption levelled against him by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.More Related News
