The CBI special court here on Thursday (May 15, 2025) declined to entertain a petition filed by Gali Janardhan Reddy, BJP legislator from Karnataka, , seeking special facilities in Charlapally central prison.
Mr. Reddy and three others were lodged in prison after the special court pronounced verdict in illegal mining case sentencing them to undergo seven-year imprisonment. He filed the petition requesting the court to instruct the prison authorities to provide him specific amenities. However, the special court refused to grant relief to the petitioner.
