
CBI arrests Navy officers in submarine information leak case, Navy orders probe

The CBI has arrested a serving Indian Navy official for allegedly leaking sensitive information related to a submarine modernisation project to two retired officers.
In a major breakthrough, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested three officials of the Indian Navy, including a serving Commander-rank officer, for allegedly leaking sensitive information related to a submarine modernisation project.
In details of the CBI operation accessed by India Today, it has emerged that a serving Navy officer was leaking information to two retired officers, which included a Commodore-rank officer.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
