After the complainant was asked to pay the bribe by Geeta Rawat, he approached the CBI and informed the agency regarding the incident.
The CBI formed a team and laid a trap. The complainant, on the specific directions of the accused, handed over the bribe amount of Rs 20,000 to Bilal, a vendor operating near office of the Geeta Rawat.
The CBI arrested the vendor and later apprehended Geeta Rawat on charges of bribery. Searches are being conducted by CBI officials at the premises of both the accused.
