It seems a small blaze erupted backstage at the 2026 Golden Globes, according to a video published on X by the Hollywood Reporter’s Chris Gardner.
Gardner said the fire broke out in the backstage press room after “catering knocked over a coffee holder and the sterno underneath was lit. For a brief moment, the carpet was on fire and smoke wafted up around the curtains,” he wrote.
Catering staff can also be seen rushing around, trying to put out the fire and clean up.
“They put it out quickly fortunately. Yikes!” Gardner added.
Awards season is ramping up, and there's a whole new slate of TV series and movies to get into in 2026.
“I literally could not believe my eyes,” Kelly said.
The two actors were married in 2005 and later split in 2015.
“But I’m going to crack it," the comedian promised ahead of hosting Sunday's ceremony.
