
Car designer Dilip Chhabria gets bail but will remain in jail for now

Dilip Chhabria has been granted bail by the Esplanade magistrate court in Mumbai. However, he will not be able to walk home free as he is yet to be granted bail in another case filed by comedian Kapil Sharma.
Popular car designer Dilip Chhabria has been granted bail by the Esplanade magistrate court in Mumbai, after over three months of his arrest by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch in connection with a car financing and forgery scam worth at least Rs 40 crore. However, the 68-year-old car designer will not be able to walk home free as he is yet to be granted bail in another case filed by comedian Kapil Sharma. In his complaint, Kapil Sharma had accused Dilip Chhabria of failing to deliver a customised vanity van despite claiming payment of Rs 5.7 crore. Chhabria, according to Kapil Sharma, was demanding more money and parking charges from him.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
