BYJU’S edtech platform has acquired Singapore-based Great Learning which focuses on professional and higher education, in a deal valued at 600 million U. S. Dollars. The company on Monday said it would invest another 400 million U. S. Dollars, making a total commitment of 1 billion U. S. The much-anticipated Special Cabinet meeting to iron out differences over internal reservation among 101 Scheduled Castes, which was to be held on Friday, has been postponed to beyond April 9. The decision came after Advocate-General Shashi Kiran Shetty advised that any decision to be taken would be in violation of the model code of conduct (MCC) in place due to byelections to the Bagalkot and Davangere South Assembly seats to be held on April 9.
