The Border Security Force (BSF) and police recovered 2.59 lakh Yaba tablets worth over Rs 8 crore in Assam’s Karimganj district on Saturday.
The Border Security Force (BSF) in a joint operation with the police recovered over 2.59 lakh Yaba tablets worth more than Rs 8 crore in Assam’s Karimganj district on Saturday.
Based on secret information, BSF and Karimganj district police jointly conducted a search operation in East Balia under Nilambazar police station in the district and recovered 2,59,200 Yaba/WY tablets which were kept buried in the ground.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
