A BSF jawan died following a militant attack near Tripura border on Friday.
A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel died in the line of duty following a militant ambush near the Tripura border on Friday. The soldier, identified as Girish Kumar Yadav, suffered bullet injuries and was declared brought dead.
Girish Kumar Yadav was part of the 145 battalion under the Kanchanbari sub-division of North Tripura district.
According to sources, the BSF jawan was hit by four bullets in the militant ambush. Yadav was airlifted to Agartala in a chopper but was declared brought dead.
