The Boss called upon "the righteous power of art, of music, of rock and roll" during a concert in Manchester, England, on Wednesday.
Bruce Springsteen sounded off on President Donald Trump and his administration while across the pond for the first date of his latest tour.
The rock star delivered a patriotic message while performing in Manchester, England, on Wednesday, where he told crowds, “The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock and roll, in dangerous times.”
“In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about and has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,” he continued in a video posted on X by one of the concert’s attendees.
“Tonight, we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experience to rise with us,” he added. “Raise your voices against the authoritarianism, and let freedom ring.”
The Boss then sailed into his 2001 track “Land of Hopes and Dreams,” singing lyrics like, “Dreams will not be thwarted. Faith will be rewarded. Hear the steel wheels singing. Bells of freedom ringing.”
