
Boy stabbed for travelling with girl from different faith in Mangalore, 4 arrested

Mangalore police in Karnataka on Saturday arrested four members of fringe outfit Bajrang Dal for allegedly stabbing a boy.
Four members of fringe outfit Bajrang Dal have been arrested by police in Karnataka’s Mangalore city for allegedly stabbing a boy. Initial reports suggest that the accused objected to the boy travelling in a bus with his female friend. The victim is undergoing treatment at a local hospital and his condition is now stable. The accused reportedly halted a bus around 9.30 pm on Thursday night and pulled out the boy and the girl. Objecting to the boy accompanying a girl who hailed from a different faith, the accused attacked him with sharp weapons.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
