Book fair will be conducted every year in Vidhana Soudha: CM

Karnataka State Legislature Book Fair - 2025 inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to promote reading habits among youth.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday inaugurated the Karnataka State Legislature Book Fair – 2025 and said the fair would be held on the Vidhana Soudha premises every year to inculcate reading habits among the children and the younger generation.
For the first time, the State Secretariat is holding a book exhibition and cultural festival till March 3. State Legislative Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader took the initiative to hold the festival.
A total of 151 book stalls have been set up and fair will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Chief Minister said educated people should inculcate human values by reading books. Developing reading habits among children who are addicted to social media these days. The Chief Minister told legislators to purchase books to improve the availability of books in libraries in their constituencies and villages. Well-known writers were felicitated on the occasion.

The Shakespeare Millennium Club in collaboration with the Annai Velankanni Church (Society of St. Vincent De Paul), conducted a Free Medical Camp on November 23, 2025 at the church premises from 9 am to 6 pm, with Dr. Samundi Sankari and Dr. Divya Sivaraman of Srushti Hospitals, Dr. Sharada L N of Aramba, the Kumaran Dental Clinic, Lychee and Satya Physiotherapy Centre, according to a press release.
