Bombay HC summons BJP's Kirit Somaiya in Anil Parab's Rs 100 crore defamation suit

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has been asked to appear before the Bombay High Court on December 23 this year in the Rs 100 crore defamation suit filed by Maharashtra Transport Minister Anil Parab.

The Bombay High Court summoned former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya in the Rs 100 crore defamation suit filed by Maharashtra Transport Minister Anil Parab. The BJP leader has been asked to appear before the High Court on December 23 this year.

Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab alleged that Kirit Somaiya had made "malicious, mala fide and defamatory" statements against him on Twitter. Kirit Somaiya had claimed that Anil Parab was involved in a scam of illegal construction in Ratnagiri. The Maharashtra minister denied the allegations.
