The Bombay High Court on Wednesday sought details of the pilots who have worked during the Covid-19 pandemic, while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by the Federation of Indian Pilots on Covid warrior status.

In its PIL, the pilot association is seeking that the pilots, who have worked during the pandemic, be declared Covid Warriors. They have also demanded an adequate compensation scheme for them regarding priority in vaccination, insurance coverage, etc.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
