The Bombay High Court refused to grant any relief to former Shiv Sena MP Anandrao Adsul from coercive action and from the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The Shiv Sena leader had sought quashing of the ED summons and prayed for protection from coercive action against him until his plea is heard.
However, the division bench of Justices SS Shinde and NJ Jamadar refused to grant him any interim relief. During the hearing, Anandrao Adsul's counsel Abhinav Chandrachud argued that the summons issued by the ED did not give any details, and "so they should first say what it is that the agency wants from him".
