The bodies of two newborn babies were found inside a garbage bin installed by the municipal corporation in the Chandan Nagar area of Indore.
It was on Tuesday morning that the corporation workers reached the spot to collect garbage. However, they were taken aback to find the bodies of two newborn babies inside the garbage bin.
Soon, Chandannagar police was informed, following which a team reached the spot. Subsequently, the bodies of the newborns were sent to the district hospital for post-mortem.
While an investigation has been launched into the matter, police have launched a lookout for the mother with the help of CCTV installed nearby.
It is suspected that the babies were born out of an illegitimate relationship of the mother and to hide the fact the woman dumped the newborns into the dustbin.
