
Blatant lies, no need to apologise: TN minister Thiaga Rajan hits back at Goa minister over GST Council row

Tamil Nadu minister Thiaga Rajan has hit back at Goa minister Mauvin Godinho over the GST Council row and said there is no need to apologise as he has done no harm to the people of Goa.
A day after Goa minister Mauvin Godinho asked Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan to apologise over the GST Council meet, the DMK leader hit back and said he has done no harm to the people of Goa and there’s no need to apologise. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan has said there was no need to apologise to the people of Goa and that DMK and the Tamil Nadu government has always stood for rights of state governments, including Goa and this was reflected in the GST meet too. This comes a day after Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho claimed that his request for preferential treatment to smaller states like Goa in compensation cess was opposed in the GST Council meet by Thiaga Rajan and that he should apologise to people of people.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
