
BJP takes dig at Mamata Banerjee's ambition to go national, calls her 'bohiragoto'

At a time when Mamata Banerjee gave a call for united opposition to tackle the BJP at the Centre, the party's Bengal unit took a dig at the West Bengal Chief Minister's stand. But Mamata Banerjee as she sought to go national, Agnimitra Paul, BJP MLA from Asansol and president of the party's Mahila Morcha in the state, questioned her 'outsider' or 'bohiragoto' stand that she had resorted during the 2021 West Bengal Assembly polls.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
