BJP leader Chitra Wagh criticised the Maharashtra government for including the models of male and female reproductive organs in the family planning counselling kits of Asha workers.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chitra Kishor Wagh has raised questions about the reproductive organ models being provided to the accredited social health activist (ASHA) workers. Criticising the state government, Chitra Wagh said that “the government has lost its mind”.
The family planning counselling kits provided to the Asha workers contain, among other things, rubber models of male and female reproductive organs. The Asha worker has expressed her displeasure with the government’s decision to include these rubber models in the kit. They said that they are embarrassed to carry and display these models during the awareness campaign and that they want these objects to be removed from the kits.
