
BJP questions TRS-led Telengana govt's decision to lift lockdown, calls it reckless and irresponsible

The TRS-led Telengana government's decision to lift Covid lockdown in the state has been called a 'reckless and irresponsible decision by the BJP. Bharatiya Janata Party also criticised the government's decision to reopen schools.
The BJP questioned the TRS-led Telengana government's lifting of Covid lockdown and opening of education institutions in the state. The BJP termed the decision of lifting of lockdown by CM K Chandra Shekhar Rao as "gambling with public health in Telangana state." Starting Sunday, Telangana state government has lifted all kinds of Covid-19 restrictions in the state and has also decided to open educational institutes from July 1.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
