BJP leader Kirit Somaiya pleads not guilty in defamation cases, gets bail

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya appeared before a magistrate court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty in two criminal defamation cases filed against him.

BJP leader Kirit Somaiya appeared before the 25th Magistrate Court at Sewree in Maharashtra and was granted bail on Tuesday in two criminal defamation cases filed against him by an NGO and a social worker for allegedly making defamatory remarks. Somaiya pleaded not guilty before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate PI Mokashi, after which he was released on bail after serving personal bond of Rs 15,000 in both the cases.
