The BJP has issued a whip to ensure that all of its MPs are present in Lok Sabha on March 22 when crucial legislations are to be taken up.
Monday is likely to be a heavy business day for the BJP in Lok Sabha. The party has issued a whip to ensure that all of its MPs are present in Parliament on March 22 when crucial legislations are to be taken up. The three-line whip issued by Rakesh Singh, BJP's chief whip in the Lok Sabha, requested the support of the MPs for the government's stand on "very important legislative business" which is scheduled to be taken up on March 22. "All BJP members in Lok Sabha are hereby informed that some very important legislative business will be taken up for discussion and passing in the Lok Sabha on Monday, the 22 March 2021. All members of BJP in Lok Sabha are therefore requested to be positively present in the House throughout the day," a letter signed by whip Rakesh Singh said.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
