The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Saturday alleged that the Centre was increasingly resorting to violence to quell the farmers' protests, but assured that the peasants’ movement would continue to remain non-violent.
“The new strategy used by the BJP government in the last three months is dangerous. The BJP government is using violence against us. The BJP wants to force the farmers to use violence. But farmers will continue to use non-violent methods,” said SKM leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan at a meeting earlier today.
