
BJP doesn’t rule states by killing opposition leaders: Amit Shah hits out at TMC in Lok Sabha

Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked the Trinamool Congress in the Lok Sabha, saying that the BJP doesn’t rule any state by killing Opposition leaders.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday hit out at the Trinamool Congress in the Lok Sabha and claimed that “the BJP doesn’t rule any state by killing Opposition leaders.”
Referring to the recent incidents of violence in West Bengal and the incidents of post-poll violence that followed last year after the declaration of the assembly election result, Amit Shah said, ”Yes, we (the BJP) want to fight election everywhere based on our ideology, performance, and programmes. Even TMC went to Goa to fight election. But we don't want to rule any state by killing Opposition leaders, and raping women.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a swipe at the Congress and said, “Those who can’t hold their party election, are preaching us about democracy.”

Amit Shah also attacked the Congress for imposing emergency “out of fear”.
Referring to Emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Amit Shah said, “We are not afraid of any election, but we had a history of how emergency was imposed out of fear.”
On Wednesday, Amit Shah said that the BJP is not afraid of any election, adding “win or defeat is part of democracy”.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
