Launching a scathing attack on the Centre, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said on Friday that Arvind Kejriwal will become the Prime Minister in 2024 and the BJP will not be able to stop him.
Amid the controversy over the liquor policy in Delhi, in a scathing attack, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said on Friday that Arvind Kejriwal will become the Prime Minister in 2024 and the BJP will not be able to stop him.
While addressing a special session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Gopal Rai said, “BJP can get all our ministers and MLAs arrested, but in 2024 only CM Arvind Kejriwal will become India's Prime Minister. The more the BJP clashes with him and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the deeper their graves will be dug. Whether we remain MLAs-ministers or not, even if our government goes out of power, we will continue to live for the country and pledge to die for it too."
He further said, "We have exposed all of the BJP leaders' lies and gimmicks over the course of the last seven days. When all BJP MLAs failed to spill more misinformation in the assembly, the Union Education Minister had no choice but to cover up their conspiracy. This is a massive victory for this House as well as for the Delhi government. They have no other business than abusing the Education Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, with all their might. And it is clearly a desperate measure after conducting a survey on people of Gujarat of the impact of AAP's roaring campaign through which the party has been successful in reaching out to the people and finding a place in their hearts.”
He continued, "They were under a misconception that AAP would bow down in front of them after the CBI raided Manish Sisodia's residence. However, their bubble got busted the very next day when he went to their home turf and stood like a rock. They tried to tangle him in frivolous cases as they were under the impression that they could silence him. However, he roared like a lion."
Gopal Rai asserted, “People have seen the spark in us that we will do everything possible for the country, even if it costs us our lives. I don't care if our government remains in power. Nor am I bothered about our legislative or our ministerial positions. We have already taken an oath that we will live only for the country, we will die only for the country."
“You are welcome to unleash CBI-ED or to detain our ministers and MLAs. Arrest Arvind Kejriwal as well if your advisors advise you to do so. But mark my words. Arvind Kejriwal will become the Prime Minister in 2024 and nothing can stop that,” Rai said in the assembly.
