The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday announced its election in-charges for the upcoming assembly elections in five states. Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Pralhad Joshi and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are among the leaders who have been given charge of state elections. The BJP has announced election in-charges for Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, and Manipur. Except for Punjab, the BJP is in power in all other states.More Related News

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
