
BJD doesn't have boss in Delhi, will reduce Odisha's poverty rate to 10% in 5 years: Naveen Patnaik

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the BJD will continue to work for people of the state and pledged to reduce poverty rate to 10 per cent in the next five years.
Asserting that the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) does not have a "boss in Delhi", Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday said that his party will continue to work for people of the state, and pledged to reduce its poverty rate to 10 per cent in the next five years.
Addressing party workers and leaders on BJD's 25th foundation day, Patnaik, in a virtual address, said that the party is accountable to the people of Odisha, who have turned the party into a social movement.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
