Bike-borne miscreants snatch mobile phone from woman in Delhi’s CR Park

A woman alleged that her mobile phone was snatched by two bike-borne men in Delhi’s CR Park when she was returning from her morning walk on Monday. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
A woman’s phone was allegedly snatched by two bike-borne men in the CR Park area in Delhi, police said. The incident took place when the woman was returning from park after a morning walk on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, (DCP), South, Benita Mary Jaiker, said, “A 24-year-old woman, a resident of Kalkaji, lodged a complaint alleging that her mobile phone was snatched by two motorcycle-borne men near Kalka Public School in the CR Park area around 6.10 am.”
She also added that police were scanning CCTV camera footage around the scene to identify the accused.
A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 356 (assault or criminal force in attempt to commit theft of property carried by a person), 379 (theft) and 34 (common intention).
Further investigation is underway.
