Lalu Prasad said the BJP and the RSS were reluctant to conduct caste-based census in the country as they harboured a feeling of hatred towards backward and other backward castes.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad on Friday hit out at the Centre over an affidavit submitted by it to the Supreme Court saying the government would not be conducting caste census. The Centre’s affidavit filed on Thursday, evoked sharp responses from the political parties for rejecting caste census on technical grounds.
Lalu Prasad said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were reluctant to conduct caste-based census in the country as they harboured a feeling of hatred towards backward and other backward castes.
