Bihar man wanted in armed robbery case arrested in Delhi; 567 gm gold seized

A 22-year-old man, wanted in a case of dacoity in Bihar's Champaran district has been arrested in Delhi. Police also recovered 576 grams of gold upon the accused's instance.
In a joint operation conducted by the crime branch and Bihar Police, a 22-year-old man wanted in a case of dacoity has been arrested in the national capital. Police also recovered 576 grams of gold upon the accused's instance.
The accused, identified as Subhodh Yadav, along with his associates had looted 7 kg gold and 50 kg silver from a jeweller's shop in Chakia in Bihar's Champaran district. After the dacoity, he had his hideout in Delhi.
On May 25, six men entered Devi Lal Prasad Dhiraj Kumar Jewellers in Bihar and opened fire at two shop owners, leaving them injured. They then fled the spot with 7 kg of gold and 50 kg of silver in two plastic bags along with Rs 60,000.
It was on June 8 that SHO Chakia district, Inspector Dhananjay Kumar, along with his team reached NR-I informing them that they needed help in tracing the accused who was hiding in Delhi.
Based on local and technical intelligence, the accused's location was traced near Akshardham Mandir. Subsequently, a raid was conducted and Subhodh Yadav was apprehended. On interrogation, he disclosed that he had given his share of looted gold to a man named Mukul Soni of his village and then reached Delhi. A total of 576 gm gold was then recovered from Bihar.
