
Big-money donors flocking to support anti-Trump Liz Cheney

Anti-Trump Republican Rep. Liz Cheney is not very popular with GOP voters or her party colleagues on Capitol Hill, but she still has at least one base of strong support — big-money donors.
The embattled congresswoman, who is facing multiple primary challengers next year, raised a whopping $1.88 million in the third quarter of 2021, smashing her previous record from earlier this year of $1.5 million. Cheney (R-Wyo.) was tapped recently by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to serve on the select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, a move that angered House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who called it “shocking” and “unprecedented.”More Related News
