Washington — President Biden on Saturday will visit all three sites where planes crashed on September 11, 2001, to commemorate the victims and heroes of that day on the 20th anniversary of the attack.
The White House said Mr. Biden and first lady Jill Biden will visit New York City, Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon. Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff will also visit Shanksville for a separate event, before joining the Bidens at the Pentagon. Mr. Biden was a senator at the time of the attack, and it was his wife who first informed him planes had struck the World Trade Center.
