The pop star continued to sing as the set piece tilted sideways while she was suspended over her audience.
Beyoncé’s Saturday night concert in Houston, Texas, screeched to a halt when a set piece malfunctioned while she was suspended over the crowd.
The pop star was being carried through the air in a red prop Cadillac when the car began to tilt sideways as it turned a corner during a performance of her single “16 Carriages.”
In video captured by fans, Beyoncé grasped one of the cables carrying the set piece and calmly continued to sing for about a minute before ordering the music to, “Stop, stop, stop.”
The car remained stuck floating above concertgoers for several moments until she was lowered to safety and retrieved by stadium personnel and security.
Appearing surprisingly unshaken once she was on the ground, a fan video showed the “Texas Hold ’Em” singer make her way to the stage where she told fans, “I want to thank y’all for loving me. If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.”
