
Bengaluru witnesses 100 per cent spike in Covid-19 cases in just 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, Karnataka logged 2,479 cases and four deaths. All zones reported over 200 cases on Tuesday.
With the emergence of the new variant of coronavirus, Omicron, Karnataka has recorded a spike in the number of cases. The positivity rate has doubled in the state with Bengaluru logging 3,048 Covid-19 cases.
In the last 24 hours, the city has reported 147 Omicron cases, while the positivity rate has jumped from 1.60 per cent to 2.59 per cent. The cases have been doubling every two or three days, revealed Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr K Sudhakar in a Tweet.
