Karnataka DGP Praveen Sood took to Twitter to respond to a foreign journalist's remarks on the death of a Bajrang Dal activist in Shivamogga.
Karnataka's police chief has called out a foreign journalist for referring to Harsha, the Bajrang Dal activist killed in Shivamogga on Sunday, as a "terrorist".
Calling Harsha a "terrorist", journalist CJ Werleman had claimed in a tweet that Bajrang Dal was behind the communal violence that broke out in Tripura in October of last year.
"A terrorist belonging to the Hindu extremist group #BajrangDal, which carried out a wave of terrorist attacks against Muslims in Tripura in November, was killed in Karnataka - last night," Werleman wrote on Twitter.
Reacting to his tweet, Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Praveen Sood wrote on Twitter: "This is absolutely false. There is no connection of death to either terrorism or Tripura."

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
