
Avalanche warning issued for higher reaches of Kashmir

The authorities have warned locals residing above 2000 metres of medium-danger avalanches. People have been asked to take cover and not venture into avalanche-prone zones.
The disaster management authority has warned locals of medium-danger avalanches in areas above 2,000 meters in Kashmir.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
