Prof. K.T. Augusti Endowment Award in Biochemistry presented to Dr. Rebu Sundar for outstanding research contributions in Kerala.
Prof. K.T. Augusti Endowment Award in Biochemistry, instituted by the Kerala Academy of Sciences (KAS), will be presented to Rebu Sundar, Assistant Professor, Karunya University, Coimbatore.
The award has been instituted in honour of biochemist and academician K.T. Augusti, who was also the founder general secretary of the KAS.
Dr. Sundar was chosen for her Ph.D. work done in the Department of Biochemistry, Kerala University. She was selected by a nine-member jury based on the presentation of the work and her quality publications in high impact journals. The award, comprising a medallion and a citation, will be presented during the endowment function at the Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram, on December 16.
Kerala University Vice-Chancellor in-charge Mohanan Kunnummal will inaugurate the programme. KAS president G.M. Nair will preside over the function.
