Attacked every day because we allow conversation in Congress: Rahul Gandhi at Chintan Shivir

Rahul Gandhi said every day the Congress party is attacked because it allows conversion and expression of views.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said the Congress party is being attacked every day because it allows conversation within the party. This party's DNA is a conversation between people of this country, he said.

Rahul Gandhi said, "The most senior leadership is bluntly told what the Congress party feels. Even regional parties would not tolerate the type of conversations we had. Every day we are attacked because we allow conversion in our party."

He added that the politics of the country now does not involve expression of views and feelings.

"Now, the politics of this country does not entail a conversion, expression of views and feelings. It is critical for the Union to allow states and people to have a conversation. Because the only alternative to a conversation between the people of India is violence. The mechanisms of this conversation are the institutions that Congress leaders helped create. These institutions belong to the Union of India," he said.
