The situation in Rajouri turned tense on Friday after a clash broke out between the police and people demanding action against those behind the attack on the residence of BJP leader Jasbir Singh. A complete shutdown has been announced in Rajouri with most parts of the city closed on Friday in protest against the attack on a BJP leader’s residence in Jammu and Kashmir.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
