Police in the Cachar district of Assam detained six minors in connection with the ruckus created in the Silchar town during Christmas celebration.
The Cachar district police had earlier detained two people in connection with the incident. Superintendent of Police (SP) Ramandeep Kaur said that four more minors were detained on Tuesday night.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
