Assam Police arrests 7 people for forging signature of CM Himanta Sarma 

Assam Police arrested seven people following an FIR from the Chief Minister's Office, which stated that a note was sent to the PHE department carrying the chief minister's signature. 

Assam Police arrested seven people for forging the signature of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The accused have been identified as Binit Poddar, Dipjyoti Dutta, Jaimini Mohan, Imran Sha Chaudhary, Rajib Kalita, Dilip Das and Pankaj Gogoi. On Wednesday, last week, an FIR was received from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), which stated that a note had been given to the Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department of the (PHE), Assam for work to be allotted in the name of Lohit Construction, with a forged signature ofthe Assam Chief Minister, according to Assam Police Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) Rajib Saikia.
