
Assam govt approves online sale, home delivery of liquor in Guwahati on trial basis

In a cabinet meeting on Thursday, Assam ministers approved the online sale and home delivery of liquor in Guwahati for just a month.
The Assam government has allowed online sale, purchase and home delivery of liquor in Guwahati on a trial basis. The online sale and home delivery will be in force for a month within the area of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC). The decision was taken in a bid to avoid crowding outside liquor shops. Assam Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika said the state cabinet has decided to start the online sale of liquor within the area of GMC for a month as an experiment.More Related News
