Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state government has set a target of administering Covid-19 vaccines to 3 lakh people daily from Monday for the next 10 days.
The Assam government has set a target of administering 3 lakh Covid-19 vaccines daily from June 21 (Monday) to June 30. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma directed all guardian ministers and secretaries to visit their respective districts and ensure increased vaccination rates there. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday held a meeting with the state health department in Guwahati and reviewed the preparation for the enhanced Covid-19 vaccination campaign which is set to start from June 21 in the state along with the whole country.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
