Assam CM Himanta Biswa’s fake tweet claims schools to close over rising Covid-19 cases, probe ordered

The viral post says that colleges will remain closed from November 20 amid rising Covid-19 cases.

A screenshot mimicking a Twitter post from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has gone viral on social media claiming that the cases of Covid-19 have gone up in the state and that schools and colleges will remain closed from November 20. A FAKE tweet bearing my name is circulating saying that since cases of #COVID19 have gone up schools & colleges are being closed down from Nov 20. This is a “fake” tweet, Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Twitter attaching the screenshot. The government has ordered probe into the incident to find out those responsible for spreading misinformation.
