Assam Budget 2021-2022: Employment for youths, assistance to Covid affected families and more

Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog on Friday discussed employment opportunities for youths, assistance to families of Covid victims, providing smartphones to Class 9 and 10 students and more, during her budget speech.

Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog on Friday presented Rs 566-crore deficit state Budget for 2021-2022 in the Assembly. This is the first Budget of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government. While presenting the Budget, Ajanta Neog said that she prepared the Budget not only as a mere statement of document of expenditure and receipt, but as a vision document for the next five years.
