
Asked Navjot Singh Sidhu to control his advisors: Harish Rawat

Following his meeting with disgruntled Punjab ministers and MLAs, it came to be known that Harish Rawat, who is the state in-charge of the Congress, asked Navjot Singh Sidhu to "keep control" on his advisors.
Punjab AICC in-charge Harish Rawat, who met four ministers and three MLAs from the party on Wednesday, said that he had asked Navjot Singh Sidhu to control the persons he takes advice from. "We have asked Navjot Singh Sidhu to keep control on his advisors. Congress has nothing to do with Sidhu Ji's advisors. Any comment against national interest is not acceptable," Harish Rawat said.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
