
As Maharashtra reports first Zika case in Pune, Centre rushes expert team to state

Alarmed by the first confirmed case of Zika virus in the state, the Health Ministry has rushed a team of experts to Maharashtra to assess the situation and recommend containment measures.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has rushed a team of experts to Maharashtra to assist the state government in the management of cases of Zika virus. Maharashtra is the second state in India to have reported a confirmed case of Zika virus, after Kerala.More Related News

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
