
Army jawan killed in encounter with militants in J&K's Anantnag

An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. A soldier was killed in the encounter.
An Army jawan was killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Kokernag, J&K on Saturday.
Kokernag is in the Anantnag district in south Kashmir.
According to sources, a foreign terrorist TRF commander has been trapped by security forces in the ongoing Kokernag encounter.
The operation is still going on, said police.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
